Large university in attractive, tropical, suburban site. One hour from coast. On-campus housing difficult to obtain. Lots of American students. IFSA program costs $7,000+ extra (not addressed by Bates financial aid). Many students have positive evaluations of IFSA services: pre-departure info; on-site orientation; day and weekend excursions; on-site support staff. Total enrollment: 38,000; # of Americans: 800
Search the Course Catalog. Course selection: 8 units per semester; at least half the course load above the first year level. Level 1 = Bates 100 level; Levels 2, 3 = 200 level and above.
