Swedish language required. Bates requires the home stay or the studentboende. Smaller study abroad setting than DIS Copenhagen. Students are encouraged to apply for DIS scholarships.

Based at the Stockholm School of Economics; opportunity to take courses with Swedish students and to access the university’s clubs, student organizations, facilities. Attractive, capital city on the water. English, Nordic skiing, and cool weather are common. Optional excursions to the island of Gotland (fall) and Arctic Circle (spring). An expensive city to live in and to travel from. Bates requires home stay.
