Advanced Spanish Track Required. Students with four or more semesters of college-level Spanish will be placed in an Advanced Spanish Immersion focus in which all courses are taught in Spanish. Advanced students also have the opportunity to participate in a no-cost, part-time internship and take courses at the University of Granada, one of Spain’s top-ranked and largest universities, and the most popular university for European students participating in the Erasmus student exchange program.

Full-immersion program in historic southern Spanish city of 350,000. Students take 2 program courses and 2 university courses. Intensive language course and Orientation program with travel to major Spanish cities. Extensive co-curricular program and integration with University of Córdoba students. Mainly Smith and Wellesley students.

CIEE offers several programs at their center, including: Liberal Arts; (Fall: 100 participants; Spring: 175-200). Advanced Liberal Arts (Fall: 25 participants; Spring: 45-50). A wide range of program and university courses are available. Many internship options. Madrid is 3 hours away by the high-speed train. Lots of Americans in Seville.

Smaller program in cosmopolitan, small, historic university city. Great location for immersion in Spain. Wide range of IES program courses; direct enrollment in university courses. 2 week intensive language orientation. Internships available. Excellent administration; excursions and cultural activities part of the program. Motivated peer group. Students are encouraged to apply for IES scholarships.

Located on the main campus of the Universidad Complutense. Many course options available including the Sciences and Math at the university. IES staff help arrange internships, field trips, and other activities. Home stay or dorm with Spanish students required to promote cultural engagement. Larger program in large, vibrant capital city. Students with varying motivations and language skills. Students are encouraged to apply for IES scholarships.

Mostly program courses, language pledge, quality program with good peer group; excursions to different regions of Spain. Well-run program with excellent director and faculty. Hamilton encourages one course at Universidad Nebrija. Located in the university district.
