Required language course and course on Peruvian Social Reality (service learning component); university courses. 100 acre university campus in a sprawling city of 8 million with Spanish colonial core. Home stay in suburban residential areas. First semester (early March-mid July); Second semester (early August-mid December) weather marked by persistent clouds. Total enr.: 15,000. Students are encouraged to apply for IFSA scholarships.

Indigenous peoples and globalization; introduction to Quechua language; independent study project. Excursions to Machu Picchu, the Amazon and Lake Titicaca (including a 4 day home stay on Taquile Island). Students are encouraged to apply for SIT scholarships.
